Loved this book. Keep it handy at all times. It makes you scared and mad at the same time. Greed by these chemical companies made the world toxic. How do their employees and CEOs sleep at night?

This is a useful book, packed with information but written in a somewhat choppy manner. Additionally the unfortunately “cute” chapter headings and overall humorous tone of the book detract somewhat from the importance of the text.

Although this is information is now a few years old, I can only imagine that things haven’t changed. This book gives quite a bit of insight on how disgusting corporate drug, chemical, and even cosmetic companies are and the harmful, un-renewable resources they abuse. Not to mention beneficial advice on the importance of organic ingredients and whole foods. This book scared me enough to keep me away from fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy products that are maintained with pesticides. I am more aware in many ways because of this book, however is does leave me with some unanswered questions.

Perhaps the previous reviewer should have read the whole book, and not just the forward. Although Kirstie Alley was a contributor without much credentials, the book itself was great. The authors provide an easy, readable, “how-to” book, particularly for those new to the concepts of toxicity and healthy change. I would definitely recommend it, and have ordered two additional copies for members of my family!!
