Certainly not just ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE books on childhood obesity.

You know the ones – they just drone on-and-on about how big the problem is, how it’s parents’ fault, society’s fault, junk food’s fault, etc etc etc – and they never want to provide any practical steps to solving the issue at hand!

    Bleugh!

If you have any of THOSE books in your cart, dump them all… and then add Raising Generation XXL.

It takes only a few paragraphs to realize that Sutton is one of a rare breed of TRUE experts in the field of childhood obesity.

Rather than grandstanding about the problem and blaming “society”, Sutton gets straight into the issue, and provides sensible, sensitive and actionable steps to make a real difference in your child’s life.

Obesity not just about “diet” and “exercise”…

It’s not just about “making a lifestyle change”…

Sure, these things are important – and are certainly covered in the book in very practical ways.

But “Raising Generation XXL” also looks at issues of self esteem, child psychology.

Issues like helping an obese child deal with bullies are covered… And what to do after your child loses weight – how to help them to celebrate their new identity AND (importantly) how to ensure they don’t go too far and develop eating disorders.

All of these issues are dealt with using practical and easy-to-follow methods that are sensitive to your children’s needs and psyches.

If you truly want to raise healthy children into adulthood, Raising Generation XXL is written with the same genuine care and concern that you have for your children.

Raising Generation XXL is a breath of fresh air, and highly recommended. 5 stars!
