I purchased this item and sent 2 as gifts after seeing Mariel on television talking about the book. It was not what I thought, filled with buddha images. Being a Christian it was sent to Christians with no knowledge these were in the book.

This book is geared for someone that has alot of free time to herself. Perhaps someone that is a stay at home wife or has retired and has all the time in the world to do Mariel’s suggestions. If you are busy with a job because you have to work like most people, than this book is not for you.

I picked up this book because I read a number of good reviews here and was intrigued. There are some good tips here undeniably but I was bored reading this book. Many of these things I’ve heard or read before. One of the bigger turn offs for me was her “candor” about her obsessiveness whether with food or exercise. I’m sorry I couldn’t really get into this book.

This is a wonderful book to read. Mariel has a great way of writing that puts one at ease. This book has really motivated me to live a healthier life and try some mediation. Granted, I know I won’t be as dedicated at Mariel is to her way of life but it really got me thinking about making some changes in my life style.
I appreciated that she says to just start off making some small changes then go from there. Whenever I’m looking at new ways to change, I seem to get overwhelmed with all the information then I don’t do anything at all. This book was different. I really enjoyed this book!

I love this book and I think it will inspire anyone who picks it up to make at least one valuable change in their life.
